Who we are
We are a small business operating in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado. This idea started years ago; I was training Self Defense, more specifically Krav Maga. I was practicing escaping duct tape, nylon straps, ropes, and getting attacked while duct taped.
To some people this sounds crazy, but if you are someone who has practiced, trained, or thinking about learning self defense, this is an incredibly empowering and amazing feeling/knowledge to have. And so much fun!!
I wanted to make myself a cool bracelet, where I incorporated some escape tools to blow everyone’s mind how fast I escaped..... or actually managed to escape.
The idea of me having these tools made me feel so empowered and able, why not make some cool pieces for myself, friends, & family
I would make and wear my piece’s, come up with solutions of how to hide the escape items, but still have access to use them. I kept training KRAV MAGA and knew exactly what I wanted to do with the Jewelry Line.
“Jewelry for good people in bad situations. A peice of jewelry that makes you walk through life with courage.”
I hope no one has to experience a situation where our jewelry has to be used to escape an abduction, but with today’s statistics why not up the odds of your escape/survival.
We want the jewelry to be a reminder to talk and think about self defense; with friends, family, and colleagues .....just open a dialog with people around you how to help ourselves and people around us how to stay safe. We are hoping to slowly create a place with self defense advice & suggestions. Not to mention support group information for victims. It is a work in progress and I hope to make this a place for you to revisit and feel at home, thank you for visiting and welcome

Our logo and where the idea came from:
Growing up in Sweden, Europe I was always fascinated by runes and their meaning. Our logo comes from the rune (Algiz). With the help of my designer friend Sarah (sarahpostdesign@gmail.com) we turned the protection rune into Courage Jewelry’s logo and I love the result. Regardless if you believe a rune or logo can protect you, it looks cool and might be my next tattoo (sorry mamma.. here I go again)
Meaning: protection from enemies, defense of that which one loves.
There are different meanings and stories about runes and how the Vikings used them. It was just the Viking hippie in me that fell in love with the look and the protection aspect!
